Locals swap stories and share a laugh around the table of a local eatery, The Mustard Jar. The little restaurant was located inside of North Richland Drug, purchased by Alan and Nancy Hamm in 1959. It was located in the northeast corner of the Greater Richland Shopping Center, one of the first shopping areas developed in NRH. The drugstore’s soda fountain/restaurant, The Mustard Jar, was a hub of community life. Locals met there daily to drink coffee and discuss civic affairs. The store closed in 1991.
