Description
In 1928 Clarence Jones started the Jones Lumber Company. After the trade was built up the lumber company kept expanding and eventually comprised an office, sheds and a mill building. The enterprise took up the north and south sides of 4224 East Belknap. In 1954 the Jones Lumber Company opened a new building to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. The building was designed by Briley Jones, Clarence's great-nephew, who had a degree in architecture from Texas A&M.
