Description

Clarence Jones was the Chairman of the Board of the Haltom State Bank. He built a large house for his wife, Ruth Daley Jones, on his farm northwest of Pipeline Road and Grapevine Highway. Part of this farm was later subdivided into 182 lots. The first streets were named for family members: Daley, Blaney, Cummings, Turner Terrace, and Briley. In the second platting of the reminder of the farm, Jones named the streets for popular car models of the time: Victoria, Holiday Lane, Deville, and Riviera. This development was incorporated as North Richland Hills on April 25, 1953.
